Definition of SSA - Credit Returns Policy:
Service Station Supplies has
one of the most open credit return polices in the convenience
market place designed to ensure maximum product exposure and
sales at your site.
As the circumstances of
product returns can widely vary we wish to avoid any confusion
or mis-understanding of what credit returns we are able to
accept.
In general and as an industry standard,
distributors such as ourselves will warrant credits on all
products where the manufacturer offers an overriding credit
return facility.
Service Station Supplies gives
full credit returns without question where.
- Products being returned are a stocked item
on our current price list and are in a good saleable
condition
- Products are damaged in transit from one of
our warehouses and/or arrive in a damaged condition.
- Products are incorrectly supplied to you
out of our warehouse, or supplied under 40 days of date
expiry.
- Genuine product failure has been
experienced by a customer.
Please
let us know as soon as this occurs as we can attend to getting
replenishment stock out as fast as possible and to rectify the
issues so as to prevent a further occurrences. For speedy
processing of credits, ensure original invoice numbers are
supplied when raising a credit. Credit requests without invoice
details may experience some delay in processing.
Date driven products:
Service Station Supplies
guarantees all date driven products “BEST BEFORE” and “USE
BY” are supplied out of our warehouses with a minimum of 40
days shelf life.
It is important that shelves containing
date driven products are continually checked for “facing up”
so as not to loose sales. We see many sites where this is
expected by management, but
overlooked by staff.
In the unlikely event that
products are sent out of our warehouses with less than 40 days
shelf life,
Claims
for “out of date” stock should be raised within 7 days of
receipt of your order.
This
allows us to raise the respective credits to our suppliers.
Facing Up:
A quick shelf check once a day is all
that is required. Ensure all
products are re-packed correctly, where all date driven
products are packed on the shelf from behind facing up older
stock to the front, and always check back office stock if you
have any.
SSA is unable to credit
“out of date” stock that has simply not sold for over 40
days on your shelf causing products to reach date expiry as our
suppliers will not accept these returns.
Used and damaged goods:
We encourage
sites to adopt an exchange policy rather than refund policy
especially in the case of products such as Fuel Containers and
Jumper leads. These items tend to be purchased for an emergency
use and then returned when no longer required. This policy may
avoid the increasing incidents cash credits for yourselves.
